DAY 2

Yesterday, I never did get on that plane to Cleveland. It was cancelled. Just like that. After 2 hours of waiting. Instead I ended up securing a seat on a flight to Akron, which is about an hour's drive away. I made it to Akron, but my baggage didn't. I would say trip is going great so far So here I am awaiting the arrival of my suitcases with all my clothes in it

DAY 1

I never would have thought my next blog would be typed out sat on the floors of Terminal F at Philadelphia Airport. A delayed flight with no news of the expected deperture time has prompted me to start my blog before I even reach my final destination.
My journey until America was safe enough thought not very entertaining to say the least. US Airways was a disappointment. I was expecting a wide cabin area with a decent sized entertainment system, as in a large TV monitor if not those built into seats monitors that you get with Lufthansa, where you have a selection of movie channels and games. The food was a disappointment too, but that comes as no surprise to me as it's a hard job to please me with aeroplane food. My in flight self entertainment plan didn't quite go as I expected. Armed with a novel, new music on my ipod, plus videos and a movie on my ipod and phone I assumed I would not have time to do anything else. But it must have been my unease and restlessness to get home that didn't hold my attention on one thing for too long. Though I imagine if I had put my mind to it, I could have finished the darn novel before I even got on my second flight to Cleveland.
Philadelphia airport is amazing. It's huge, with terminals A-F, each boasting its own host of shops and food places. There's even a food court area that just gives the air of the building being one huge shopping centre, with the odd plane or two maybe. The best thing about the airport for me is the white rocking chairs located throughout the airport. Secure yourself a free wifi connection, sit yourself on a comfy rocking chair with a view of the shops and passengers, and you're all set to do some time killing.

So, this next US Airways flight to Cleveland that I'm waiting for, was scheduled to leave 2 hours ago, but no one seems to know what's going on with it. It's in the hangar apparently going through cabin maintanence. Man! The cabin better be smelling of roses and lined with satin with the amount of time they're taking.

Oh it seems like something is going on. So, better repack this hefty laptop ....
